Opening and closing time

ALL THE MONUMENTS AND MUSEUMS WILL BE REOPENED TO VISITORS ON SATURDAY 1 MAY 2021

AT THE MOMENT ONLY IN THE CATHEDRAL, Entrance to the faithful for prayers and masses will be guaranteed according to safety standards

Open every day
Entrance is allowed up to 30 minutes before closing time.
Tickets for the Tower are at set times and limited in number, you must choose a time when you buy your ticket.
The ticket for all the other monuments and museums is valid from the chosen date (not before) for 1 year, during the opening time.

SPECIAL OPENING AND CLOSING
We regret that it may be necessary, in the interests of security or public safety or other specific circumstances like ceremonies or events, for us to alter the opening hours or close specific areas at any time, and without prior notice.

From June 17 to August 31, 2026, monuments and museums stay open until 22:30.
Baptistery Some areas can be closed due to restoration work. The opening can vary on Sundays and on religious holidays.
Cathedral Open to visitors only from 10:00, can vary on Sundays and on religious holidays. Opening delayed on 8th September.
Camposanto Special opening by night from June 17th to August 31st until 22:00. If you buy the ticket for visiting the Tower from 19:30 you get a free pass to visit the Camposanto, not subjected to a fixed time.The entrance is free on the 1 and 2 November on the occasion of All Soul’s and Saints’days.
Tower Special opening by night until 10pm from June 17th to August 31st. From 17 June to 31 August long opening until 22:30. Early closing on 16 June, 24 July, 9 August.
