Entrance is allowed up to 30 minutes before closing time.
Tickets for the Tower are at set times and limited in number, you must choose a time when you buy your ticket.
The ticket for all the other monuments and museums is valid from the chosen date (not before) for 1 year, during the opening time.
SPECIAL OPENING AND CLOSING
For security reasons, access from Via Cardinale Maffi will remain closed. We regret that it may be necessary, in the interests of security or public safety or other specific circumstances like ceremonies or events, for us to alter the opening hours or close specific areas at any time, and without prior notice.
On April 29, 2025, the Baptistery, the Cathedral, the Camposanto, the Opera del Duomo Museum, and the Sinopie Museum will close at 19:30.
On May 10 and 11, 2025 the Baptistery will be closed to visitors.
On May 11, 2025 the Opera del Duomo Museum will close at 18:30.
On May 20th, on the occasion of the ‘Lucca-Pisa’ time trial stage of the 108th Giro d’Italia:
>the Sinopie Museum will be closed
>visitors will be able to access the monumental area only through the Torre Santa Maria, arriving from Via Contessa Matilde

Baptistery Some areas can be closed due to restoration work. The opening can vary on Sundays and on religious holidays.
Cathedral Open to visitors only from 10:00, can vary on Sundays and on religious holidays. Opening delayed on 8th September.
Camposanto Special opening by night from June 17th to August 31st until 22:00. If you buy the ticket for visiting the Tower from 19:30 you get a free pass to visit the Camposanto, not subjected to a fixed time.The entrance is free on the 1 and 2 November on the occasion of All Soul’s and Saints’days.
Tower Special opening by night until 10pm from June 17th to August 31st. From 17 June to 14 September long opening until 22:00. Early closing on 16 June, 15 July, 9 August, 9 September.
