The Opera della Primaziale Pisana and the Anima Mundi Festival of Sacred Music have launched the 17th Anima Mundi of the International Competition of Sacred Composition. Each composer will be able to participate in the competition with a single score which is entirely original and has never been published, performed or recorded previously.

The text Salve Regina was chosen to be created for for solo soprano voice, four-part choir SATB, accompanied by organ and a string orchestra composed of first and second violins, viola, cello and double bass.

Composers of any nationality are admitted, with no age limits.

The winner will receive a prize of € 5,000.00 and the piece will be performed in the Cathedral of Pisa as part of the programming of the XXIV Festival of Sacred Music Anima Mundi scheduled for September 2025.
