The Opera della Primaziale Pisana decided to positively engage in the implementation of a Social Accountability Management System, which is bound to become an integral part of its UNI EN ISO 9001-approved Quality Management Policy.
For the OPA (Opera Primaziale Pisana), this means:
> considering its STAFF a strategic resource, guaranteeing that their rights are respected and their professional and personal growth are boosted;
> considering its SUPPLIERS as partners, not just for the supply of the services of the OPA but also in terms of Social Accountability;
> - considering its CUSTOMERS as key to the success of all its activities, working towards customer satisfaction at all times while abiding by the rules of Social Accountability.
In this respect, one of the official commitments of the OPA is:
1- to adhere to all the requirements laid down by the 8000/2001 SA (Social Accountability) standard regarding:
* child labour;
* forced labour;
* health and safety;
* freedom of association and right to collective negotiation;
* discrimination;
* disciplinary practices;
* working times;
* retribution.
2- to adhere to the conventions and international deeds, to the applicable regulations and to any agreement on the subject;
3- to ensure continued supervision over and improvement of its Social Accountability Management System, by determining, on the occasion of specific meetings, clear-cut improvement targets and monitoring the achievements thereof;
4- to progressively improve labour conditions and always work toward the workers' protection, also through targeted ad clearer internal and external communication.
The Opera della Primaziale Pisana guarantees that its SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and the associated results are documented, implemented, preserved and effectively communicated to all its staff.
In addition, it ensures that the parties concerned are constantly and adequately informed of the results of its Social Accountability Management System.
