The educatonal program, resulting from a collaboration between the Opera Primaziale Pisana and the Cooperative G. Toniolo, aims to offer visiting school groups an innovative learning experience regarding the history and art of the Piazza di Miracoli.
The program will offer students procedures for understanding the monuments; by analyzing the indelible signs left by every age they will be able to re-trace the architectonic evolution of the square, and its relation to the evolution of the surrounding city and its inhabitants.
The workshop aims to stimulate an active awareness of the place through activities that encourage a spontaneous and gradual approach to art and culture, and give individual students the possibility of developing further interest and curiosity based on the content.

Workshop structure
Module I: Multimedia rooms
This phase will be taught in the multimedia room in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, where state-of-the art equipment will allow students to visually focus on important phases in the transformation of the monumental complex, through the ages.
Module II: Lecture
This will take place in the auditorium of the Opera della Primaziale Pisana.
The talk will discuss various historical figures who were associated with the Square in some way, allowing pupils to re-trace the monuments' evolution during the history of the city and obtain a dynamic vision of this historical context.
The laboratory offers various approaches and interactions, depending on the age of the students.
Teaching in each module will be performed by Cooperativa Toniolo operators.
