The work of the Opera Primaziale Pisana is not limited to protecting and restoring the heritage entrusted to it, but it is naturally completed by the promotion of these monuments by organising cultural events, so that the monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli may be experienced and appreciated from a different perspective other than the traditional one, always respectful of the religious purposes for which they were designed.
These events offer an opportunity to develop an interest in art which is different from a simple holiday tour, since they are not only based on admiring these works but on the possibility to use them as special areas and backgrounds for experiences that are enriched and completed by music, meetings or by the suggestions of special theme events.
The church music festival "Anima Mundi", the theme meetings "Incontri con...", and the opening of the monuments during summer nights, are all part of this project.
Many of these events are made possible by the effective contribution of organisations and companies that thus concretely show themselves to be very sensitive to the promotion of the artistic heritage and at the same time may benefit from the advantage of associating their names to prominent cultural events that arouse a great deal of interest with the visibility that the Piazza dei Miracoli enjoys all over the world.
